This isn’t just a pledge we made when things were going well. It has been part of our DNA from day one. Before there was a business, there was a belief: if you have the ability to create opportunity, you should.
For years, we’ve proudly partnered with Sambhali Trust in Rajasthan, and today, we’re thrilled to announce our second charity partner: Luminary Bakery in London. Two organisations. Two different parts of the world. But one shared mission, to give women the opportunities they deserve.
Why This Matters
When we talk about scaling businesses, we talk about unlocking potential. The same principle applies here. The right opportunities at the right time can completely change the course of someone’s life.
For women facing systemic disadvantage (whether that’s poverty, violence, or lack of education) opportunity isn’t something that comes easily. It has to be created. And that’s exactly what Sambhali Trust and Luminary Bakery do.
These aren’t just charities handing out aid. They’re organisations committed to long-term change, providing the tools, training, and resources for women to build sustainable futures. And that’s exactly the kind of impact we want to be part of.
Sambhali Trust: Where It All Started
Long before Brand Hackers existed, Lottie moved to Delhi with a plan to volunteer full-time. The goal? To give time, energy, and skills to organisations making a difference.
But it quickly became clear that small charities didn’t just need people, they needed resources. With limited funding, their ability to expand, reach more women, and provide real support was restricted.
So, the approach shifted. Lottie started freelancing for London-based businesses and giving the money away. That money went directly to Sambhali Trust, an organisation in Jodhpur working to empower women through education, vocational training, and community-driven support.
What started as a simple donation turned into something bigger. Over time, the contributions grew, and Brand Hackers became the sole funder of the Ladlhi Boarding House, a safe home for 19 young women aged 12-19 who would otherwise have been abandoned.
To date, over £60,000 has been donated to support these young women. They now have access to education, training, and opportunities that wouldn’t have been possible otherwise. And for us, that’s what real impact looks like.
Luminary Bakery: A Second Chance Closer to Home
Supporting Sambhali Trust was just the beginning. As Brand Hackers grew, so did the ability to do more. That’s why we’re so proud to introduce Luminary Bakery as our second charity partner.
Based in London, Luminary Bakery isn’t just about making great cakes (though trust us, their bakes are next level). It’s about empowering women who have faced extreme disadvantages including homelessness, domestic abuse, trafficking, and involvement in the criminal justice system.
Through training, employment, and a strong support network, Luminary helps women rebuild their lives with skills that lead to financial independence. This isn’t just about getting a job. It’s about creating a future.
Our contribution directly funds their apprenticeship programmes and career training, giving women the skills and confidence to step into a new chapter. And the best bit? You can support them too. Their bakeries in Stoke Newington and Camden are open for business, and their postal bakes are perfect for gifting (or just treating yourself).
